Due to the upcoming US Election on 3rd November, we are potentially going to increase the margin requirements for various instruments on Friday 30th October. Any changes would take effect at the close of trading.
Please be aware that you may need to increase your margin level to open new positions or maintain existing ones. If you want to find out the current margin requirements for one lot, they are displayed in the “Specification” window of our trading platforms, as well as on the specification pages of our website.
We strongly recommend you keep an eye on your available margin figure; try to keep it above 80%. If you see it dropping towards zero, you run the serious risk of being Stopped Out, but there are a few things you can do:
- Deposit more funds
- Close your open positions
- Close and reopen your positions with smaller lot sizes
